Immersive Fantasy: The Raksura Series by Martha Wells

What started as an interest in the unique shapeshifters known as Raksura quickly turned into an all-consuming passion for the entire world.

Both have two forms – groundling, a humanoid shape, and Raksura, a reptilian gargoyle-like form they take when fighting or hunting.
